This thoughtfully reimagined kitchen blends timeless design with carefully considered architectural changes to create a space that feels both elegant and welcoming. At the heart of the room is a striking moody green island topped with a generous slab of quartzite, providing ample workspace while adding warmth and contrast to the surrounding soft white cabinetry. The island was repositioned to improve circulation and better connect the kitchen to the adjacent living areas, creating a layout that feels open and naturally inviting.
One of the most dramatic transformations in the space is the addition of a massive new window centered above the sink. The sink was relocated from the island to this new location so that everyday tasks are framed by beautiful natural light and views outdoors. The expansive window fills the kitchen with brightness and creates a stunning focal point along the back wall.
Architectural detail was also introduced in the cooking area, where a newly created arched niche frames the range and backsplash. This soft curve adds depth and character while highlighting the cooking zone as a focal feature of the room.
Custom cabinetry throughout the kitchen provides both beauty and function, including a built-in hutch with a brass railing. Warm brass hardware, rich wood flooring, and layered lighting—including an elegant chandelier—bring balance and refinement to the space.
The result is a kitchen that feels timeless, light-filled, and thoughtfully tailored for both everyday living and gathering.
